Everything about the year has been incredible at Ferrari. Record revenue, cars sold out and a hefty bonus for employees. Maranello surpassed, for the first time in history, the 4-billion-euro mark. “Orders have never been higher”, said CEO Benedetto Vigna, also announcing that all employees will receive a hefty bonus: 12,000 euro on average for each, “because production in 2021 never stopped”. That’s how the company reached the incredible performance.
Incredible revenue
Ferrari closed 2021 with a revenue of 4.27 billion, up 23.4% compared to 2020 and +13.4% on 2019. Net profits amounted to 833 million euro, up 37% from 2020. 11,155 cars were delivered, 22.3% more than 2020 and 10.1% more than 2019. CEO Vigna is currently trying to maintain the order portfolio while maintaining exclusivity.
Incredible orders’ level
“The financial results of 2021 show, once again, the strength of our business model. We attentively managed and incredible amount of orders”, said Vigna, According to Gazzetta di Modena. So incredible that, in the 4th quarter, Ferrari chose to “block any new orders on certain models”.
Incredible bonus
Ferrari decided, due to the incredible results, to give all 4,500 employees a bonus equal to 11,535 euro (gross), “even though about 80% of employees will get more than 12,000”. An incredible (and unexpected) bonus for the Italian carmaker, where bonuses usually amount to 10% of the mentioned sum. This bonus is also a first, as Ferrari had never given a bonus of more than 10,000 euro to its employees.
