The best business is done with VICs (very important clients), the highest niche in the luxury customer pyramid. And to cater to them, Rolls-Royce is investing 360 million euros (£300 million) to expand the pavilion at its Goodwood headquarters which is dedicated to bespoke workmanship. The investment will boost the industrial hub, which opened in 2003 with 300 employees and a production capacity of one car a day and has now grown to 2,500 employees capable of making 24 cars a day.
Rolls-Royce invests 360 mln
The market for high-end cars is changing, Reuters writes, and Rolls-Royce is moving accordingly. The brand ended 2024 with sales volumes down 5% year-on-year, so it now intends to focus on new models and, above all, on customization service for wealthier customers. This 360 million euro investment will boost Bespoke services, thanks to which interested parties can choose materials and workmanship of the highest quality, and Coachbuild, which offers the most privileged the chance to “create a completely original car.”
