Two minibonds worth 7 million: how Silvateam finances its growth

7 million euro for two 6-year minibonds issued by Silvateam. That’s how chemical group from San Michele Mondovì (Cuneo, Italy) is financing its growth. The two minibonds are subscribed by UniCredit and Mediocredito Centrale, and they are part of the Basket Bond Made in Italy program, which is covered by the Fondo Garanzia (managed by Mediocredito on behalf of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy).

Two minibonds for 7 million

Silvateam, holding company of the Silvateam Group, is a world leader in the production, processing and marketing of plant extracts, tannins and their derivatives. The entity has issued one minibond for 4 million euro to support growth via external lines of the same group and to develop ERP-Enterprise Resource Planning management software. Software that will be integrated into all group companies. The second minibond, for 3 million euro, on the other hand, will be used to develop a new repolymerization plant built in San Michele Mondovì, which will allow synthetic tannins to be produced sustainably.

A new investment plan

“In 2023 we concluded a very successful industrial plan. In 2024 we are starting a new investment plan to continue the growth process”, says Alessandro Battaglia, president of Silvateam Group (source BeBeez). “The minibonds”, Battaglia continues, “will be dedicated to projects with which we think we will create great value for the group. Focusing on even more sustainable products, as well as growth via external routes and integration of information systems worldwide”.
