APLF confirms the mood: a watchful but reflective marketplace

There were even more visitors than the previous edition at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In this sense, after Lineapelle, APLF also confirms the feelings of a vigilant, thoughtful but responsive market, even in the face of such a complex economic situation. But the event, which closes its three-day program on March 14, returns the impression of a China-Pacific region still far from a real business recovery.

APLF confirms the mood

APLF, we said, is very useful for gauging the mood of the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets. Exhibitors at the collective exhibition organized by UNIC – Italian Tanneries tell of positive results in terms of meetings with established customers as well as potential new partners. While waiting to know the final numbers of visitors of the fair, the impression is that the influx of buyers was significant. Now there is the question of whether APLF’s dynamism will also translate into business recovery: only time will tell what the truth is. On this issue, opinions are becoming more cautious: cautious signs are coming from Chinese counterparts about business developments in the country, but a recovery does not seem imminent.
