Co-Shoes & Accessories, Elche’s Spanish exhibition event, which was promoted by FICE (the association of Spanish footwear industry) in 2014, is at risk. On the last edition of the fair workshop, the third one so far, held in October 2016, only 25 exhibitors took part in the event: on the first edition, there were 100 of them. Owing to such mediocre accomplishment, organizers had decided to reschedule the fair every second year, thus moving next edition till 2018. Yet FICE is thinking over the exhibition and its future: at the fair manufacturing companies have a chance to show off their skills and present their services before footwear and leather goods brands, retailers and international designers. As reported by Spanish Modaes portal, José Monzonis (president of FICE) announced that “still we do not know if or how we’ll carry on with the fair event”.
