It is not just market. It is not just style. It is not just innovation. Global leadership entails responsibility: Lineapelle95 is therefore meant to be a special platform to discuss topical and current issues strictly related to the leather industry. Tomorrow, at Fieramilano Rho, they will spotlight two topics in particular. Both events will take place at Ponte dei Mari LEM (beside hall 22). At 12 ZDHC (that is, Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals, a project also supported by UNIC – Concerie Italiane, ICEC and SSIP) will update their chemical work in progress while presenting Gateway, the first Global Database for a Safer Chemistry. At 2pm focus on “European Product Environmental Footprint – A New Challenge for the Leather and Fashion Industry”, an International Conference arranged by UNIC- Concerie Italiane, Cotance, and CNR, in collaboration with the European Commission. In addition to the organizers, MIP Polytechnic of Milan, S.Anna High School, Cycleco and ICEC will also participate in the congress. Following the conference, “brands, clients, tanners, as well as suppliers of chemicals and technology will meet up on a workshop session”. Both events are free. All professionals who are attending Lineapelle95 are entitled to join them. Prior to both events, in the same location they will hold a meeting, scheduled at 11am, to talk about leather and communication: “A New Approach. Promoting Leather amongst New Generations” (set by Leather Naturally).
