A comeback. A very welcome return. On 6 June, Lineapelle held a presentation in Guangzhou, an opportunity to meet the “Chinese creative community” and promote (in one fell swoop) the excellence of Italian leather and the largest international exhibition of materials for fashion and design. It had been years, due to the restrictions on international mobility imposed by the pandemic, that Lineapelle could not meet its public in China. 150 creatives, together with the local press and representatives of the main trade associations from the People’s Republic and Hong Kong, attended the presentation. Now, they are all expected in Milan for the next edition of Lineapelle (Fieramilano Rho, 19-21 September).
Lineapelle in Guangzhou
The meeting with the Chinese creative community on 6 June was an opportunity to present fashion trends and a selection of made in Italy leathers. Lineapelle took the opportunity to start discussing the terms of a partnership with representatives of the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. The next step is the signing of a cooperation agreement for training activities for Chinese students. At the same time, the trade fair organisation has started to work with the Italian Embassy to bring to Beijing the exhibition “The Beauty of the Italian Tanning Industry”, which was recently set up at the ADI Design Museum in Milan and has already featured at Lineapelle.
