The event, with its well-established identity, aims to provide its community members with a steadily upgrading experience, not only from a business point of view. Two months ahead of its opening, scheduled at Fieramilano Rho, on October 2-4, Lineapelle, on its 97th edition, proves to be a work-in-progress event full of topics and innovations. These elements are necessary tips to entice exhibitors and visitors, while arousing their interest: together, they are the constituents of the global fashion & luxury industry chain. We may summarize such tips in three concepts, as follows.
Style
Exhibitors will be coming from around 50 countries. As for visitors, they will arrive at the fair from over 110 countries. To all of them, Lineapelle97 is going to be a showcase for winter 2020/2021 style trends. Subject: EQ – Emotion Quotient. Reference tint: a peculiar shade of red. Yet, at Lineapelle97, they will spotlight style from a different standpoint, strictly related to educational training. They point out from Lineapelle: “Several project activities, in collaboration with some of the most prestigious international fashion institutes, are still ongoing. During the exhibition event, a few schools, such as IUAV University of Venice, Polimoda Florence, Brera Academy of Milan and Parsons School of Design of New York, will present their works in a reserved area”. For the records, Parsons School was fully involved in a contest, whose award ceremony took place in New York, at the end of the recently held World Leather Congress.
Innovation
Lineapelle hits the target again. In fact, in October the fair will host LP Innovation Square, on its second edition. “Over three straight days, leather and materials will deal with their next future, in terms of technology and innovation”. Despite a few developing changes, they are going to confirm the agenda: a few presentations, debates and opportunities to share “the changing scenarios. Focus: leather smart identity, alongside its adaptability to new, emergent, interesting product and process solutions”.
Circularity
Lineapelle97, they point out from the Secretary office, “will present, for the first time, an area (placed at the entrance of Hall 14, editor’s note) exclusively dedicated to leather tanning circularity. Following an event held during last edition, in February, – “Italian Leather Circularity: total Sustainability -, The Leather (re)cycling Exhibition is going to show and tell about real circular experiences carried out by companies closely connected to the leather tanning industry. Highlights: how to recycle and transform scraps and waste products”.
