London and New York: Lineapelle opens its trade fair season

With the double appointment in London and New York, Lineapelle opens its new trade fair season, culminating with the Milan event in September. The first appointment is Tuesday, 9 July 2024, at the Ham Yard Hotel, in the heart of the City. The second is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, in Manhattan‘s Chelsea district.

Lineapelle opens its trade fair season

On Tuesday, 9 July, Lineapelle London returns, “with its established networking event atmosphere”, reads a note. The one-day event in London “will welcome 42 exhibitors, 26 of which are Italian: 25 tanneries (16 of which are Italian), 8 fabric and synthetic manufacturers, 9 accessory manufacturers. There will be two fashion presentations of new trends developed for winter 25/26”. The mood of reference is summed up in the title of the trend book summarising themes, colours and finishes: An Intelligent Heart.

An Intelligent Heart

“Artificial intelligence is a superpower that could improve our lives and our world”, explains the Lineapelle Fashion Committee, “but the heart makes all the difference. In a time of great change such as the one we are currently experiencing, it is necessary to put the heart back at the centre of our choices. We need depth and introspection to integrate emotions into the creative process, creating objects and materials that resonate deeply and have a positive impact on the world”.

Lineapelle New York

On Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 18, Lineapelle New York will “host over 110 exhibiting companies from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the UK, Turkey, India, China, Mexico, the UK, Brazil and the US”. Now in its “45th edition, Lineapelle New York has become a reference event for the US market”. A market that, “despite the general complexity of the economic situation, shows some encouraging signs for Italian leather. The trends developed by the LINEAPELLE Fashion Committee will be explored in depth, as usual, during three creative seminars that will emphasise a special focus on what can be defined as artisan intelligence”. In other words: one of the greatest values of Made in Italy.

Artisans in New York

Lineapelle’s qualitative focus on “artisan intelligence” is particularly evident at Lineapelle New York. The event, in fact, “to further enhance this concept, presents within its spaces the In the Making workshops, an experiential area based on the concept of “learning by doing” and is organised in collaboration with Giorgio Linea. Five workshops over 2 days will allow visitors to try their hand at making small leather accessories. In addition, at Lineapelle New York, Sapaf and Tivoli Group, companies that set the benchmark in the development and production of leather goods for luxury brands worldwide, will be present in the context of the Mipel Lab project”.

Lineapelle Milan

London and New York thus open the work for the winter 25/26 that will be the protagonist at Lineapelle Milano. The next edition in September ‘“promises to be super-cool by virtue of a rich agenda of events (currently being defined) and the synergy with Simac Tanning Tech that, on this occasion, will celebrate its 50th edition”.
