Milano Unica proves positively astounding. The exhibition event, on its edition number 31, took place at Fieramilano Rho, on September 8-9: 2,400 buyers visited the fair, 400 of whom were coming, rather “unexpectedly”, from foreign countries. 207 exhibitors (171 Italians, 36 internationals) participated in the fair, which was the first physical one following the lockdown period.
Milano Unica proves astounding
Milano Unica has closed its stands by enjoying a “meaningful and unexpected attendance of around 400 foreign businesses”, commented organizers. Indeed, a positive and encouraging sign while looking ahead at the recovery of the whole fashion industry. Alessandro Barberis Canonico, president of Milano Unica, pointed out: “In full compliance with safety standards, through the implementation of strict measures, we succeeded in launching a message of trust, widely shared by exhibitors and buyers attending the exhibition. I hope it will be a starting point to create a suitable ground for recovery”.
Beyond image
Massimo Mosiello, chief manager of Milano Unica, has gone beyond. He emphasized current difficulties, due to the present situation, alongside the smart organizational work they have carried out. He commented: “Exhibitors and buyers’ widespread fulfilment has fully compensated Milano Unica staff’s dedication and hard commitment. It was not just an image event aiming to duly represent Made in Italy top quality”. In other words, “it also turned out to be a valuable time for encounters and negotiations”.
