Over 16,000 buyers showed up at Fieramilano Rho during the #Strongertogether days. On the eve of the Italian fashion trade show (scheduled on September 20-23), organizers claimed they were considering fair boards and exhibitors to be bold and brave. Visitors gave a response, as they attended Micam, Mipel, A New Point Of View (on the agenda on September 22-23), as much as TheOneMilano and Homi. While turning up at the stands, “they believed in the recovery of one of the most strategic industries for made in Italy manufacturing – happily emphasized organizers –. Besides that, thanks to their attendance they have rewarded the bravery of all exhibiting companies”.
Over 16,000 buyers
25% of visitors were coming from foreign countries: visitors from Switzerland, Germany and France have sent a few comforting messages. International attendance “evidenced the market ability to react – commented organizers – alongside its readiness to start again: buyers have made purchases, to a limited extent though, considering the present complicated situation”. Besides the five events held at Fieramilano, running all together for the very first time, one more exhibition took place: namely DaTE, the Florence eyewear trade show, which drew 1,000 buyers.
Digital channels now
The final curtain has fallen over the Milan trade shows. Exhibitions are going on online now by taking advantage of some digital tools provided by the events: “Applications, smart catalogues and business portals, which will enable players to keep in touch with each other beyond limits imposed by international travelling restrictions”. Trade shows are most grateful to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ICE Agency for foreign buyers’ attendance. The five partners may now soundly rely on the work carried out by a team “representing the supporting pillars of Italy’s manufacturing and export”.
