Saloni, fairs and fashion shows. From September 16 to 26, fashion will light up Milan, with appointments that will follow one another and involve the entire supply chain and the entire fashion world. Neither the Russians nor the Chinese will be there, while the number of people from the dollar area is expected to increase. It will be a test for the European market threatened by war, energy problems and the risk of recession: how will it react?
The calendar of fairs and shows
First pole of attraction is the Fieramilano Rho exhibition centre, where all the shows will take place. The first on the calendar is HOMI 2022 Fashion&Jewels Exhibition, the event dedicated to the excellence of bijou, jewellery and fashion accessories (September 16-19). At the same time there will be Homi Independent, the exhibition event dedicated to furnishing objects and accessories. On September 18-20, there will be the 94th edition of Micam Milano, the international footwear exhibition, with about 700 companies presenting their proposals for the next Spring – Summer 2023 season. At the same time, in pavilions 1 and 3, there will be the 122nd edition of Mipel, the exhibition dedicated to leather goods, with about 120 brands present. Finally, on the same days and in the same location, TheOneMilano will be held, an event showcasing fabric, leather and fur clothing brands.
And Lineapelle
The last day of the three events will coincide with the first of the 100th edition of Lineapelle, fair that will also be held at Fieramilano Rho on September 20-22, 2022. More than 1,100 exhibitors (tanneries, accessory and component manufacturers, fabric manufacturers and more) from 38 countries will be present. Their proposals will cover the Fall-Winter 2023-2024 season. Inside Lineapelle 100 is the Mipel Lab space, a hub dedicated to Italian excellence in leather goods outsourcing. And next to Lineapelle, will also be Simac Tanning Tech, a platform of technologies for the fashion supply chain.
While at the Quadrilatero
The second pole of attraction will be the Quadrilatero della moda, which from September 20 to 26 will host the fashion week dedicated to Women‘s Spring-Summer 2023 collections. On the calendar will be 67 fashion shows, 61 physical and 6 digital. The CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards, the sustainability gala, will be held on the evening of September 25 at La Scala theatre. The women’s fashion train will then leave for Paris, which will host Fashion Week from September 26 to October 4.
