They extend the quarantine obligation: APLF postponed to November 17-19

APLF has been moved again. In Hong Kong, they extend the quarantine obligation for those coming from abroad until September 30. And the leather and materials fair must revise its calendar: the appointment is moved from July 5-7 to November 17-19.

Quarantine obligation

“APLF is the platform where global industry meets – commented in a note in a note director David Bondi -. Travel restrictions limit the ability for most buyers and exhibitors to participate. After a careful evaluation, we have decided to postpone the fairs to November”. The hope of the organisers is that “the progress of vaccination campaigns” will allow “by November” a relief from the pandemic scenario and, consequently, the resumption of international traffic.

The digital edition

It is not the first postponement for APLF. On the contrary: since the pandemic broke out, the Hong Kong fair has been looking for the most appropriate date. For this reason too, APLF works on a digital channel that replaces (for now) and integrates (in the future) the physical one. “Next April – adds Grace Lee, APLF Event Director -, we will launch a market place where suppliers can present collections, connect with buyers and accelerate business. We will also organise online events to keep the conversation between buyers and exhibitors alive”.
