Japan too is facing the Coronavirus emergency. While the Government of the Rising Sun declares a national emergency, Tokyo Leather Fair announces that it will not be held in May. The appointment is therefore postponed to next December.
It will not be held in May
Tokyo Leather Fair would have celebrated its edition number 102 on May 27-28. The fair, which makes use of its close and historic collaboration with Lineapelle, would have proposed the stylistic trends for summer season 2021. But, it is learned from Tokyo, the conditions of health security to be able to carry it out do not exist,.
Appointment in December
Once the May edition has been canceled, the appointment therefore moves to the end of the year. The next Tokyo Leather Fair is, in fact, scheduled for December, Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd, 2020, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Center exhibition site. Reference season: Autumn/Winter 2021-2022.
Competition
TLF and Lineapelle organised, on the occasion of the Japanese show, a competition that has now become a must for Japanese creatives: the Leather Design Competition. 160 projects were competed during the last edition. The two winning results were exhibited at Fieramilano Rho last February, during Lineapelle.
