Fashion shows at Lineapelle Milano (Fiera Milano Rho – 19/21 September 2023). The red carpet is back with the 102 edition of the fair, hosting designers and brands that enhance leather and its most original and creative applications. For the fourth Lineapelle Designers Edition (19/25 September 2023, in conjunction with Milan Fashion Week), 6 brands will present their collections. Alternating between Spazio Lineapelle, in the heart of Milan, and Fiera Milano Rho, where there will be a dedicated area in Hall 24. “The aim is to present the public with a wide range of creative interpretations of leather, – explain Lineapelle –. Designers from different backgrounds and styles will compete, supported by the Italian tanneries and the exhibiting companies at Lineapelle, which carry out extraordinary work on this material”.
The fashion shows at the fair
It starts (on 19/09) with the fashion shows by Francesca Liberatore and Mario Dice. To continue (on 20/09) with “Cuir couture” by Anton Giulio Grande and “Leather Heritage” by the brand Cassell. To finish (on 21/09) with Yezael by Angelo Cruciani collection. While at the fashion show arena, you will see the installations of Malvina Antal, a Hungarian artist who recently exhibited her sculptures at the Salone del Mobile.
Events at Spazio Lineapelle
At Spazio Lineapelle (Piazza Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, in Milan), from 21 to 25 September, Alessandro Enriquez will be the protagonist of a four-day programme of events. On the 21st, the inauguration will be accompanied by a live concert and projection of the fashion movie “Era una Sirena” (“It was a mermaid”, ndr), inspired by the novel by Tomasi di Lampedusa. Enriquez will present his collection with nappa leather sequins embroidered with fish scales, weaves like fishing nets, and natural colours inspired by the Mediterranean.
Francesca Liberatore Leather
The first name on the programme, we were saying, is that of Roman designer Francesca Liberatore. Who, on Tuesday 19 September at 11.30 am at Fiera Milano Rho (hall 24), will present her Francesca Liberatore Leather collection. These are looks made entirely of leather, in which you can find “the experimentation of surface processing that expresses with aesthetic force the multiple applications and ductility of the material, moving from close-fitting silhouettes to sculptural structures”. Liberatore, stylist/teacher, decided to include 7 students in her style office who were able to share with her “the values of sustainability, cyclicity, traceability, dear to those who approach this material, treated in the collection with the eternity and exclusivity of a piece of art”.
