Seen on the catwalk in Milan: leather from clothes to bags. The latest idea of Gucci by Alessandro Michele amazes

Milan Fashion Week draws to a close with the great labels relaunching their style, expressing renewed creativity and confirming their excellence. And while we are talking about excellence, we cannot fail to mention leather as a reference material. Whether we look at the ultra-colourful drawings and prints from Moschino (on jackets, shoes and clutch bags) or the pastel shades, lines or dark blues used by Fendi for baggy plus fours and boleros, leather is omnipresent in the Spring/Summer 2017 collections. For bags, leather is a must. Red handbags for Sportmax, squared shoulder bags for Uma Wang, clutches with bands of colour for Prada. And then we see wedges back on the catwalks of Roberto Cavalli, and Gucci launches a revolution in the world of footwear with the new day-to-night wedge designed by Alessandro Michele: a flatform with an ultra-high wedge (embroidered in China style) that turns into a soft flat shoe made from laminated nappa leather or fabric simply by undoing the leather straps.
