In Paris, where fashion week is closing today, a great focus on bags and shoes. And ample space for leather. Alexander McQueen has proposed waterproof boots and boots decorated with metal reinforcements. Loewe has used leather for bags (orange or striped maxi shopping bags), shoes, cloaks and accessories: a calla lily in handmade calfskin presented in various colours. The trend is the bag to be carried strictly by hand. Among the most distinctive, all designed by Maison Margiela: the asymmetric Liserole Frowjin backpack; the messenger model, the backpack and the red maxi tote. Then the blue lka hobo by Lanvin, which also presented a reptile leather bucket bag and a mini bag. A reptile leather clutch for Dries Van Noten (pictured) and fuchsia messenger belt bag for Barbara Bui, who also showed a multi-coloured clutch bag in shades of yellow. Decorated shoulder bag for Chloé. Leather minibag also for Dior and yellow micro bag for Valentino. Céline presented a handbag in which the accessory was made up of a reptile leather microbag. Dizzying heights and comfort when it comes to shoes. Loewe showed sandals and boots decorated with anklets in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Ultra-decorated pumps and sneakers also for Alexis Mabille, while Lanvin presented shoes decorated with either sophisticated or showy jewels. New arrivals for Maison Margiela with a pretty boot with split toes (pictured), generated by a blend of flat sandals and sneakers, in addition to the closed shoe with a very high platform. Maxi heights for suede wedges with contrasting platform by Balmain, pop/animal print sandals and sabots and wide heel by Carven and creepers with rainbow sole by Manish Arora.
