The top five bags that shone at the latest fashion shows

Size doesn’t matter. Micro and macro accessories were the protagonists at London, Milan and Paris fashion shows, playing on shapes and volumes. We have selected the top five of the bags that shone on the winter 21/22 runways thanks to their innovativeness.

The bags that shone at the fashion shows

1 Maxi-clutches

It’s like a clutch bag, but it’s the size of a shoulder bag. This is the maxi-clutch presented by Prada in aqua or purple leather, soft and very roomy. A perfect model for a dynamic woman who does not give up on elegance. Fendi also presented a similar accessory, in shearling, with a trunk closure.

2 The micro Hermès

Cell phone, money, documents and lipstick. Just the essentials to get around. Hermès presented a series of mini shoulder bags (in leather of various colours) suitable for containing the bare essentials. There is also a version to be worn around the neck, as a necklace, that can accommodate an electronic cigarette.

3 The XXL Marni

It almost seems like an optical illusion. Marni proposed a (very) extra large bag. A way, perhaps ironic, to counterbalance the trend of minibags. Sure, the oversized bag could fit half a house. A system to not feel nostalgia of the four walls?

4 Schiaparelli’s surrealism

Female breasts, mouths, noses, eyes. Schiaparelli dedicates its collection to surrealism, and bags are no exception. Through the pliability of leather, it builds unique accessories that recall anatomical shapes and symbols of the surrealist imagination. Also, thanks to applications such as padlocks, accessories are transformed into small wearable works of art.

5 Givenchy’s details

Attention to detail is true luxury. Givenchy knows that leather and shearling lining bottles and flasks to wear as a habit around the neck. Accessories built in precious materials, especially if microscopic, are the true expression of exclusivity.
