Fashion is increasingly the protagonist at Lineapelle Milano. On Tuesday, 21 February, Fieramilano Rho hosted Mario Dice fashion show, entitled Le Bal des Folles. An expression of made in Italy, sexy and sophisticated, the F/W 23-24 collection is inspired by the novel of the same name by Victoria Mas, “a denunciation of the female condition at the end of the 19th century in France and throughout Europe”. Predominant colour: black, to narrate the brutal coercive methods practised on women, with glimmers of light in the colours of wisteria and white. “The use of straitjackets is reinterpreted by the designer by enhancing the female silhouette, delicately enveloping it with weaves of the finest leather and crystal-embellished fabrics, as if to become a source of strength and protection,” Lineapelle explains in a note.
A look back at Mario Dice fashion show
The fashion show took place in a never before seen location: the models, in fact, moved within a garden enclosed by glass windows in the setting of the Service Centre of Fiera Milano Rho. “A voyeuristic and dreamlike vision” of great charm that you can admire in this video.
