Mulberry and Eleventy have collaborated on a men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collection that echoes the distinctive codes of both brands. That is to say, focusing on British craftsmanship and Italian elegance. For the new collection, Eleventy’s garments have been reinterpreted thanks to the introduction of some leather inserts, a distinctive trait of Mulberry, which has instead revisited some of its iconic accessories such as the Piccadilly bag or the Chiltern backpack by adding the Milanese brand’s characteristic flannel.
Mulberry’s ethical leather
That between Mulberry and Eleventy is nevertheless a collab that does not distort the identity of the brands. Mulberry, in fact, has always been committed to creating products made to last, based on responsible sourcing. All of the leather used in the collection with Eleventy is carbon neutral, sourced through offsetting with the World Land Trust and supplied from an accredited tannery that the brand has worked with for over ten years. Not only that, but the new leather collection is also made in zero-emission factories in Somerset, and follows Mulberry’s commitment to manufacturing in the UK since 1971 (when it was founded).
Eleventy’s sustainable cotton
If Mulberry is committed, Eleventy is no different. The Milan-based smart luxury company founded in 2007 used GOTS-certified cotton, GRS-certified flannel and responsibly sourced wool for the project. The new collection builds on the British heritage, which on this occasion is contaminated with Italian elegance, and offers casual garments designed for everyday wear. There are relaxed blazers, waistcoats, sweatshirts and jogging trousers embellished with luxurious leather inserts. These are complemented by Mulberry, which has added Eleventy’s signature grey flannel to some of its key products, including the Piccadilly bag, Chiltern backpack and Belgrave messenger bag. Leather accessories such as a notebook cover enrich the collab.
