Once the stands have closed after the first day of Lineapelle, tonight fashion will light up Milan with the eighth edition of Vogue Fashion Night, which will set the scene for the week of runway shows of Milano Moda Donna. A frenetic schedule of events will bring the night to life in Milan, including not only many shops staying open well beyond their usual closing times, but also a host of parties, special initiatives, DJ sets and fashion shows, set to provide an excellent stage for bloggers and social influencers, increasingly under the spotlight in recent times. The official hashtag of the event is #VFNO2016. And those who attend will be spoilt for choice. Some of the events begin in the afternoon, such as the Noir Party in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II (from 5pm on), the preview of the new Alfieri & St. John collection (10am-midnight) and the cocktail event organised by Christofle (7pm -10.30pm), both in Corso Venezia. There will also be the opening events of new points of sale (the Borbonese flagship store in Corso Matteotti 8, for instance). Fashion and food will meet up at Luisa Spagnoli (in Corso Vittorio Emanuele) with the Perugina Master Chocolatier who will take us back and have us experience the true story of the founder of the fashion brand by introducing us to the famous chocolates at the roots of the Umbrian company. In Galleria San Carlo, Pinko presents the cocktail party #Glamtaste in collaboration with Coca Cola. In Via Torino, OVS will be hosting an event during which, from 9pm, singer Alvaro Soler will perform live. And there’s more: Via Pietro Verri will also take a turn, hosting the Freddy event (7pm -10.30pm), while in Via Manzoni, Loriblu will be the location chosen for a DJ set by Filippo Nardi (7pm-11.30pm). In via San Raffaele, at the Ynot event, there will be a DJ set by La Pina (7pm -10.30pm). Finally, the most exclusive guest list will include that of the cocktail party in the Vivienne Westwood boutique in Corso Venezia, where a DJ set by Andrea Appolloni will entertain a crowd of VIPs and celebrities. Vogue Fashion Night is also a charity event, as director of Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani reminds us: “Thanks to our partnership with the Municipality of Milan, this year we can again contribute to the research on cardiovascular diseases performed by the Monzino Institute”.
