Facts actually following words. Several times in recent weeks, Renzo Rosso and OTB had explained that they were in talks to acquire Jil Sander. On March 5, they announce that they have bought 100% of what they call “a timeless diamond”. Thus, after avoiding the crisis’ blows, the group from Veneto continues its strategy of progressive expansion of the brand portfolio.
Renzo Rosso buys 100% of Jil Sander
From today, therefore, a new important brand enters alongside Diesel, Maison Margiela and Marni. The top management of OTB, in fact, announced that they have reached an agreement with Onward Holdings for the acquisition of 100% of Jil Sander. The Japanese group had owned the brand founded in 1968 by the German homonymous designer since 2008 and, since 2017, has been creatively led by Lucie and Luke Meier.
Timeless diamond
