Design, materials, made in: Fenty capsules are a success

Designed by Amina Muaddi, in leather, and made in Italy. This explains the success of Fenty capsules collections, a brand that is part of the LVMH galaxy. The first footwear collection released in July was sold out. The second, which has just come out, seems destined to do the same, thanks also to the charm and popularity of the two protagonists, reigning on social media: Rihanna, founder of the brand, and Amina Muaddi herself.

Fenty capsules collections

The second capsule consists of 4 shoe models: the Caged sandal (also present in the first collection) is characterised by the braided leather straps reaching the calf. The Don’t Be Square square toe pumps have curled leather on the toe and an elastic that tightens the shoe on the back. The Corset pumps are in two versions: one in transparent and shiny electric blue PVC, while the other in white leather with a metallic silver stiletto heel.

Both have laces that tie at the ankle. Finally, the Ribbon Ropes sandal, available in baby pink and black, with a stiletto heel and laces that rise to the calves. As with the first capsule, all models are made in Italy. The new collection is available on Fenty website, Farfetch and Level Shoes.

Award for Amina

The second Fenty capsule was released before Amina Muaddi could receive the “Collaborator of the Year” award in the context of the Footwear News Achievement Awards 2020: the award ceremony is scheduled for December 8th. The collaboration between Rihanna and Muaddi is the result of a relationship of mutual respect and friendship, born thanks to Jahleel Weaver. It is Rihanna’s stylist who showed the creations of the half Jordanian, half Romanian designer to the Barbadian pop star. The first step was to purchase several pairs of shoes for Rihanna, then the relationship continued until the glittering success of the first Fenty capsule.
