The search for (and training of) specialised personnel in the leather area is one of Hermès‘ cornerstones. Not only in France, but in Italy as well. Specifically in the shoe factory in Busto Garolfo, a few kilometres from Milan, 16 new figures are needed. Hermès needs quality control workers: qualified personnel to be employed in the inspection of products arriving from suppliers and subcontractors in Lombardy. As well as in the Marche, Veneto and Tuscany, suppliers who send goods to the Milanese factory at a steady pace. And, of course, the search for personnel is on to hire workers who are able to perform stitching on uppers, as well as workers who are able to artfully join pieces of leather.
Recruitment for the shoe factory in Busto Garolfo
Details of open positions can be found on the job opportunities page on Hermès website. Atelier HCI (Hermès Chaussures Italie) has been fully operational since 2018 in Busto Garolfo. In the town north-west of Milan, there was a factory that was already part of the group, which has become a true development centre for Hermès footwear prototypes, as well as for the production of some luxurious models.
