For Tempe, the footwear subsidiary of Inditex, 2024 was record-breaking. Revenue was up 7% from 2023 to 1.61 billion euro, while net income was 205 million euros, 44% higher than in 2023. Headquartered in Arteixo (La Coruña) and with operations in Elche (Alicante), Tempe (2,000 employees) designs and distributes shoes and accessories for all brands of the Spanish multinational. It’s controlled equally by Inditex and the family of Vicente García Torres. 2024 was effectively record-breaking, and exceeded Inditex’s own financial results. Over the past year, Tempe paid out 110 million in dividends, writes ModaEs.
Investments
Like Inditex, Tempe is also strengthening logistics. In 2019 it acquired a 280,000-square-meter plot of land from the Valencia Port Authority for just over 31 million euro: a new logistics’ center has been under construction here for months. The project is part of Inditex’s €900 million investment plan in logistics, and the new warehouse will be managed by company Tempe Levante, which owns a footwear production platform in Mexico and has had purchasing management offices in Dongguan (China) and Novo Hamburgo (Brazil) since 2006.
