The first step on the path to the 2025 edition of the UITIC World Congress is the search for papers. Researchers and academics, as well as technicians and professionals of the field, have until April 11 to submit their abstracts. Then, on May 9, the organizers of the event, which will be held Aug. 31-Sept. 3 in Shanghai, will announce the selections. The final submission for the full versions is due August 1st.
UITIC 2025 world congress approaching
The UITIC (International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians) congress is a gathering of global footwear specialists, with the goal of exchanging ideas and proposals. Now in its 22nd edition this year (following the 2023 edition in Vigevano), the event gathers to discuss current challenges. “Competitiveness and Sustainability in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” is the title of the event. “The future of footwear lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence-driven innovation and sustainable practices”, comments Sergio Duilio, president of UITIC. “The congress will explore how companies can decline the two factors in favor of both their own growth in a rapidly evolving market, and to shape a sustainable future for the industry.
