Adidas calls, Nike answers. The German brand has launched the Samba Vachetta Tan model, made in Italy and in leather. And in the premium sneakers match, the US giant has put a luxury leather version of the Air Force 1 model on the market. While Murphy&Nye chose leather for its first sneaker.
The premium sneakers match
The Samba Vachetta Tan, therefore, is not an isolated case. The Nike Air Force 1 is a universally successful model and now comes in a luxury version (‘07 LV8 “D” Sunset 1982, pictured by Highsnobiety), vintage with a brown leather upper and a worn look. Murphy&Nye also chose leather for the launch of its first ever sneaker. The brand that the Rossi family took over in 2020 is set to close 2024 with a turnover of EUR 5 million, as Fashion Network reports. The brand has launched its first sneakers collection, called Challenger. “The upper is made of high-quality leather, which ensures durability and a refined look. This choice of materials makes the trainers suitable for any occasion, from casual to more formal”, reads the brand’s website.
