Coach arrives in the Milan’s Fashion District. And cuts its American stores

Coach comes to Montenapoleone in Milan. Until now, this American multinational, leader in the accessible luxury segment, had only been sold in Italy in some outlets (Fidenza, Castel Romano and The Mall) and in medium-sized towns (Livorno, Carate Brianza and Trani), but it has now raised its commercial strategy bar, opening in Milan, in the heart of the city’s luxury district: in Via Montenapoleone, in the former A. Testoni store. Coach (4.49 billion dollar revenue) has cut the its stores in the USA, but is increasing them in China and Europe. After a pretty stressful period, the group, which also owns the Stuart Weitzman footwear brand, posted surprising results for the last quarter, with share profits exceeding expectations and sales up by 15% (1.15 billion dollars).
