From luxury boxes to bags: Wolf opens up to leather goods

Wolf opens up to leather goods. The company has been producing jewellery and precious containers since 1834, also in leather. Now, it has decided to expand its use of this precious raw material. It has done so by launching its first three accessory collections. For their debut at Wolf’s they have set a price competitive with that of entry-level brands, such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. Wolf’s move demonstrates the attractiveness of leather goods.

Luxury containers

Wolf produces luxury containers for jewellery and watches. Its roots lie in Germany, where in 1834 Philip Wolf I began offering his silverware in good-looking containers, using leather for example. Sales exploded. Hence, the intuition and foundation of Wolf. In 1986, Simon Wolf, who represents the fifth generation of the family to run the company, joined the company as CEO. Speaking to watchpro.com, he explained that Wolf ended 2021 with a 39% increase in global sales.

Wolf opens up to leather goods

Using its design expertise, Wolf launched its first three leather goods collections into the market. They made their debut at Pitti Uomo. The three collections are ‘Mimi By Wolf’, ‘W Collection’ and ‘The Signature Collection’. This lines include different types of accessories, including wallets, briefcases, backpacks and bags, but also cases for tablets, phones and PCs. The latter feature RFID technology to shield technology items from fraudsters.
