At the last edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, the presence of a professional tattoo artist at the stand of Oliver Sweeney, intent on producing his “works” in real time on the uppers of shoes and ankle boots made the headlines. The same idea is now proposed by Tod’s which, to celebrate the re-opening of its flagship store in London, has launched an extremely limited collection of the Double T Bag, “using the finest, highest quality leathers”, made by craftsman Fabrizio Vita and tattooed by artist Saira Hunjan with mythological figures and fantasy animals (each bag is the result of an average of 22 hours’ work).The “commercial” version of the Tattoo Double T Bag will arrive in the Tod’s boutiques worldwide next December.
