Lots of fairs in a row are coming up. They will spotlight Milan and draw the attention of the whole fashion manufacturing worldwide industry. Such exhibitions are going to take stage, in September 2021, in the pavilions located at Fieramilano Rho. Furthermore, after going through the pandemic and experiencing together its complexity, throughout 2020, they are about to update their own distinctive hashtag and (nearly) turn it into their rallying slogan. We are therefore going to enter a new season. The season of Revenge Fair. Or, more precisely, the one of #RestartTogether.
The fashion fairs #RestartTogether
The hashtag evolution turns out to be particularly meaningful. In 2020, during the smart trade shows held in September (starting from A New Point of View by Lineapelle), fairs used to recap their message of resilience and proactivity in #StrongerTogether. Time has come, right now, to take a step forward. Better yet, THE step forward: it is now time to start again, physically, in person. In other words, #RestartTogether.
The agenda
The numerous exhibitions on the agenda are due to kick off on Sunday, September 19th, at Fieramilano Rho. Micam, Mipel and TheOne will be running here until Tuesday, September 21st. The events will go on for three days, rather than four, as they used to, and will lead the way to the opening of Lineapelle, which will be running from Wednesday, September 22nd, until Friday, September 24th (simultaneously, on the same dates, Simac Tanning Tech will take place as well). Lineapelle will host, inside its exhibiting halls, a new project which focuses on leather sourcing: Mipel Lab. There is yet more to tell.
The fashion shows
Milan will host, on September 21-27, several women’s fashion shows arranged by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (the National Chamber of Italian Fashion). As pointed out by President Carlo Capasa, the Milan Fashion Week for women’s collections “could be the real restarting point”. “Personally, I believe that 80% of the events on the agenda will take place physically”. Sounds like a promise.
