Three packed, intense, and fruitful days. The 2019 edition of Simac Tanning Tech, the international exhibition of machinery and technology for the footwear, leather goods, and tanning industries, ended on a note of general satisfaction. “The past three days have definitely been positive,” the President of Assomac, Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, commented. “Attendance was good, and the exhibitors were also great at presenting their machinery. This didn’t just pique the interest of the delegations, but of the private visitors too, who found the technological solutions they were looking for.” “I’d say that, overall, the fair went even better than last year,” added Gianni Maitan, CEO of Gemata, whose stand was “packed” with “very interested” visitors. The final day of Simac Tanning Tech opened with a visit from the president of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Carlo Ferro, who met with Marchioni Bocca and the delegations. “You are the key players in a growing industry”, Ferro said to them, explaining that in the two pavilions dedicated to machinery and chemicals they could find “excellent businesses, know how, and a long tradition of innovation and sustainable solutions, all qualities that make Italy a world leader in this industry.”
