After the summer, Bottega Veneta will have a new CEO. On September 1st, Claus-Dietrich Arsella, as per his own decision, will give way to Bartolomeo Rongone, wanting to “be closer to the family and start an entrepreneurial adventure” as the company explained in an official note. At the top management of the leather goods company from Vicenza, Rongone will be, in Saint Laurent from 2012. He had previously held other positions in the Roman headquarters of Fendi. Bottega Veneta explains that among the tasks entrusted to the manager there will be that of “allowing the new creative dynamic, working since 2018 in the Italian brand, to develop its full potential”. “I want to warmly thank Claus-Dietrich Lahrs for his commitment and the great successes achieved in the nearly three years at the helm of Bottega Veneta. He made decisive choices and laid the foundations for the new dynamic in which the fashion house is now launched – comments François-Henri Pinault, head of the Kering group -. I wish him the best for the rest of his career. I am happy with the arrival of Leo Rongone, whose passion and energy I appreciate. His knowledge of luxury, and his managerial qualities will be decisive factors for the new mission he will have. I am sure that he will be able to rely on the exceptional heritage of Bottega Veneta and on the creativity of Daniel Lee to build and continue the new phase of development that opens up in the history of the Maison”.
