Brunello Cucinelli remains optimistic for its brand’s future performances. As he should, given that preliminary data approved on December 31st shows the brand’s revenue at 712 million euro, up 30.9% on 2020 and 17.2% on 2019 (the last pre-pandemic year). Yet, Covid-19 remains a concern. That’s why Mr. Cucinelli (in photo), calls for caution. “We must be very careful during the upcoming months – he says to MFF -, but I trust that we are close to getting back to normal”.
Cucinelli remains optimistic
“If somebody in Autumn of 2020 had forecasted our latest results – he said to Il Sole 24 Ore -, I would have called him/her a dreamer, or at least delirious optimism”. Yet, the dream came true. The financial newspaper defined the performance of the Umbria-based brands as “one of the best in the segment”. The entrepreneur, after the results and trust in his method, expects the next two years to have a “healthy and balanced” growth (of +10%). “The markets are open, with the USA heading the rest – he concludes -. Physical retail is having great success with local customers”.
