Fendi rely on Italian artisans while announcing investments

Fendi investe in Toscana

Fendi are about to make a few investments to train new artisans and expand their own business in Italy. “Our training course, which is due to begin in October, will last two years: it will be directed at 8 students, and attendance will be complimentary”, pointed out Serge Brunschwig, president of the fashion house, while speaking to Il Sole 24 Ore (he granted his interview to the Fashion insert).

The importance of training new artisans

While talking to the financial newspaper, the manager emphasized the importance of training new artisans to support demand coming from fashion brands, therefore creating new jobs. Such plan proves to be most important in Italy, where taste for beauty, raw materials top quality and attention to detail are universally recognized values.

An extraordinary opportunity

“Such quality works are an extraordinary opportunity to revamp and foster employment – carried on Fendi president -. As far as we are concerned, we will try our best to persuade the national Government and Regions about it: I hope that they will warmly welcome our message to support mutually”.

Bagno a Ripoli and Porto San Giorgio

Meanwhile, Fendi are going to employ five hundred workers in their new manufacturing plant based in Bagno a Ripoli: president Brunschwig announced they are supposedly due to inaugurate it in 2021. On top of that, they are also planning additional relevant investments in the shoe factory located in Porto San Giorgio (Fermo): the company, said the manager, might enlarge it. Furthermore, wrapped up Brunschwig, “we will definitely expand our business in Italy to meet growing demand for products by Fendi all over the world”.
