More than twice the number of US ones (which are 14); Italy has 29 in the top 100. There are 29 Italian brands included in the list of the top 100 of the world’s luxury brands compiled by Deloitte. The best placed is Luxottica, which is in tenth place; follows Prada, 15th,; while Giorgio Armani is 21st. The 100 companies in the “Global Powers of Luxury Goods” worth (financial statements 2014) 222 billion revenue, a growth of 3.6% over the previous year. Sales of Italian luxury goods increased 6.9%. Italy also earned a good rank in the list of “Fastest 20”, list of the 20 companies with the highest compound annual growth rate in sales between 2012 and 2014. In this ranking stand out Vicini (managing the brand Giuseppe Zanotti) , eyewear Marcolin, Valentino and Moncler.
