Rumours, truths, and appointments. Miroglio wants Trussardi, say fashion rumours, and for this reason they would be ready to invest in the greyhound brand (from which, instead, ChimHaeres and Growcapital would be moving away). The creative direction of Chloé, meanwhile, has passed into the hands of Chemena Kamali, born in 1981, who takes over from Gabriela Hearst.
Miroglio wants Trussardi, they say
Investors are being sought who can take over and relaunch Trussardi. The label symbolised by the greyhound on 5 March 2023 opened crisis proceedings at the Court of Milan. And started a restructuring process with the resetting of the board of directors and creative direction. Last June, ChimHaeres and Growcapital had shown interest in the investment. But now, both seem to have taken a step back. According to TPF-The Platform, Miroglio group is examining the Trussardi dossier. It would not be the only one evaluating the feasibility of the operation. The newspaper also reports the leading role allegedly taken by former Trussardi CEO Sebastian Suhl. He is said to be trying to set up a group of investors to be appointed CEO again.
Chloé’s appointment
The rumours about the future of Chloé’s creative direction are over. Richemont-orbiting brand has announced that the creative director will be Chemena Kamali. The designer will unveil her pre-fall collection next January. While the catwalk debut, writes WWD, will take place during Paris Fashion Week in February. Since June, Kamali had been working on the succession with Hearst so there were no surprises. It should be noted that both Kamali and Sean McGirr, who recently arrived at Alexander McQueen, are newly promoted to creative directors. For them it is their first experience in this role.
