From tomorrow until Wednesday, September 19, in conjunction with Lineapelle 104, Simac Tanning Tech is celebrating its 50th edition in pavillion 18 of Fiera Milano Rho. The show is dedicated to the sector of machinery and technology for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industry. “Simac Tanning Tech is not just a trade show, but a global platform where the most advanced ideas and technologies take shape and turn into growth and development opportunities for the entire supply chain”, points out Maria Vittoria Brustia, president of Assomac.
Starting tomorrow, Simac Tanning Tech is at the fair
There will be 317 companies present at Simac Tanning Tech edition number 50, 26% of which will be foreign. The show will occupy nearly 15,000 square meters of exhibition space. The goal of Assomac, which organizes the trade show, is to exceed the 6,500 attendees (40% foreigners) of the edition a year ago. The prerequisites are there thanks to the work done by Agenzia ICE: the presence of foreign delegates will, in fact, be at 2019 levels. The opening is set for 11 a.m. on Tuesday 17 in Hall 18.
Technological challenges
“Our industry today is called upon to respond to increasingly complex challenges. Such as the ecological transition, digitization and optimization of production processes,” began Assomac Director General Agostino Apolito. “Assomac, together with its members, is determined to lead this transformation, supporting innovation and promoting solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable and competitive future”.
50 of these fairs
All eyes are on the 50th anniversary celebrations. “The achievement we are celebrating this year is the result of the collective efforts of all the players in our sector: companies, institutions and research centers”, says Brustia. Assomac has prepared special set-ups. In particular, a multifunctional and multisensory space designed to enhance leather and its production chain. Here people will be able to see some of the machinery and experience augmented reality with those not on display, build relationships in the meeting rooms, and visit the photo exhibition dedicated to the fair. Also on the calendar is a dense program of seminars and workshops.
