Time out. Indian press announce that livestock trade ban, set by Modi’s Government, has been suspended. Just for the records, such measure, along with a state of uncertainty and oppression, which have been affecting Indian workers for months, is actually crippling the meat and leather industries. It is not true though. In fact, now Indian mass media say that there was a big misunderstanding over the government alleged backward step. At the moment the government, led by BJP, the Hindu radical party, has just withdrawn a regulation over aquatic species trade. Hence, livestock trade ban is still pending. Quite a mess indeed in the Indian scenario, for the time being. It is not surprising, then, that many workers and employees, especially in the lower ranks of the industry, are about to flee.
