London Fashion Week is just over, and there we go with Milan Fashion Week for Woman, in the works today through 27 February with a number of appealing events. 70 runway shows, 92 presentations, 37 events: on the whole 174 collections for Fall/Winter 2017/18. Well-known brands will be there, though remarkable attention is about to be given to young fashion designers. Several young beginners take stage: young designer Xu Zhi, housed by Giorgio Armani, and Annakiki, Anna Yang’s brand; Angel Chen, Calcaterra, Situationists and Vionnet. UniCredit Pavilion will house 15 international young brands, for the Fashion Hub Market project, whereas Versace, Trussardi, Moschino, Marras, Salvatore Ferragamo, Fendi, Max Mara, Stella Jean runways will take place at MMD. Gucci (in their co-ed shows) and Alberta Ferretti are scheduled today; Armani will conclude. Along with the Fashion Week, it’s also on the agenda White Milan 2017, the exhibition of contemporary fashion, created by Massimiliano Bizzi and organized together with Milan’s municipality and Chamber of Fashion.
