Milan, judicial administration revoked for Alviero Martini

The prevention measures section of the Court of Milan decided to revoke the judicial administration order for Alviero Martini SpA. The brand, the first to come to the attention of the Milanese magistrates in the context of investigations into illegal recruitment in the haute couture supply chain, was subjected to the measure last January. In light of the commitment shown and the results achieved, the same judges have now decided to return the company to ordinary management “in advance”.

End of the judicial administration for Alviero Martini

The measure affecting Alviero Martini SpA, as we were saying, was the first of a sequence of similar measures that later also reached Giorgio Armani Operations and Manufactures Dior. In short, the Public Prosecutor’s Office does not accuse the companies of any criminal liability, but of negligence in their organisational models that made it possible for the phenomena of illegal recruitment to take root along their supply chains. With regard to Alviero Martini, “the Court found that the organisation and application of procedures relating to supplier control, the establishment of the supervisory body, and the termination of the relationship with a supplier that proved to be at risk in an extremely short time are all elements that give account of a positive attitude”. The company, the press release continues, “was able to react in the right way, seizing the measure as an opportunity for improvement and renewal”.

No economic damage

In 2024, moreover, the accounts of Alviero Martini SpA also improved. Court administrators Ilaria Ramoni and Marco Mistò say that “turnover is growing: there was a small drop in July and August”, reports Corriere della Sera, “but overall, compared to each month of the year 2023, it is growing. Sales in Italy are down but almost compensated by the increase in franchising, the growth in turnover comes from the increase in foreign sales”.
