After the vote for Brexit, British environmental activists have begun to put pressure on public opinion and Downing Street to take advantage of negotiations to ban the export of live animals to the Old Continent. Compassion World Farming (CIWF) militants, whose instances are welcomed by the Green Party’s environmentalists and nationalists of the UKIP, while the Conservative Party, which with Theresa May expresses the majority of government, is sceptical. Animal lovers complain that cattle and sheep dogs sold abroad run cruel journeys to the slaughterhouse.
