Raw materials fly Cargill’s profits (+ 19%). In North America, demand for red meat grows

In the fiscal year ended May 31, Cargill’s profits of $ 2.8 billion (about € 2.4 billion) increased by 19% compared to the previous year. To support the growth of the US group was the growing demand for meat. Of the four Cargill divisions, the “Meat” sector is the one that recorded the best results. According to industry press, driving red meat sales has been the demand for North American markets. Asia, on the other hand, was the target of white meat. The CEO, David MacLennan, commented: “Over the last two years, we have made significant efforts to grow.” Among Cargill’s latest moves is the outsourcing of farms in the States.
