The trade show is not going to take place, as it used to, during springtime: however, after the cancellation of the event in 2020, it will be on the agenda. The Salone del Mobile will get back to the fair, to celebrate its 60th edition, in September. From 5 until 10 September, the pavilions of Fieramilano Rho will gather and host the whole product supply on exhibit. For the records, they are going to set up simultaneously all show events which used to run alternately on a biennial basis.
The Salone del Mobile will get back to the fair
A twofold goal is to be reached, pointed out the organizers. The former is to make sure, after the cancellation of 2020 edition, due to coronavirus outbreak, that 2021 edition will take place. The latter, it goes without saying, is to entirely guarantee health safety conditions, as per requirement.
“All of us, who live on design, aim to manage to make the Salone next year – commented President Claudio Luti –: undoubtedly, this is our top priority.
We have been working quite prudently, over the last few weeks, to avoid any announcement and official statements that could be possibly either denied or amended due to changing scenarios”.
After scheduling the trade show in September, the event organizers are confident “that such postponement will enable them to have the right time to overcome the ongoing crucial phase of the pandemic and, consequently, benefit from an actual recovery on a worldwide scale”.
