The 99th edition of Lineapelle, scheduled from Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th, February, 2022, at Fieramilano Rho (click here for registration), is all about sustainability. Sustainability interpreted in the light of a series of new generation keywords. For example, such as “responsible innovation”, which underpins the A New Point of Materials project (Hall 11). Or, “regenerative mobility”, an idea on which Lineapelle together with Hyundai Transys has developed a concept car with a very high creative profile (you can admire it in a dedicated space in Hall 9). Sustainability is the common denominator of a rich programme of technical events that will take place in a new space. It is called Green Theatre and is located in Hall 11. It will offer two days (Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23) of talks in Italian and English lasting half an hour each, some of which will be moderated by our editorial staff.

The absolute protagonist is the green approach of the Italian tanning industry. Space, therefore, for the presentation of the new UNIC – Italian Tanneries Sustainability Report. Then, an in-depth examination of the ethical claim “We recover our hides from the food industry” promoted by UNIC and verified in the tannery by ICEC, the certification institute of the tanning industry. The spotlight will also be on the new Rules and Regulations of the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium and the new integrated ICEC traceability tool. Finally, space will be given to the Life Magis project, an in-depth analysis of the reptile leather supply chain, and the Worth Partnership Project.
