Dani’s green approach was (once more) awarded the Gold rating by Ecovadis. A confirmation, given that for 4 straight years now, Ecovadis has evaluated the sustainability vision of the Vicenza-based tanning group and placed in the group of enterprises deserving the Gold rating (only 5% of the total evaluated). A result that was most welcomed by Dani, with its representative saying that “for over 10 years we have made strives to safeguard the environment and produce highly sustainable leather”.
Ecovadis’ rating
Ecovadis is a multi-stakeholder company that “aims at improving ESG practices of companies by taking advantage of the influence of global supply chains. Thanks to a collaborative platform, it allows companies to monitor the sustainability performances of its suppliers as well”. It’s evaluation method focuses on “how a company applies sustainability/CSR principles to its company and is based on 21 indicators split in four fields”. In order: “Environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchases”.
Gold medal for Dani
At the end of the evaluation period, Ecovadis assigns a score and, based on it, builds a rating. Dani obtained a score of 70/100 in 2022, which brought the company to be ranked as Gold. This achievement is obtained, writes the Vicenza-based group in an online statement, “by just 5% of the 100,000 companies evaluated by Ecovadis. For over 10 years we have made strives to safeguard the environment and produce highly sustainable leather. Thanks to this effort, Dani obtained an extremely important output from Ecovadis, in terms of how sustainable we are”.
