An extraordinary partnership for Cuoio di Toscana. In fact, Dolce & Gabbana have chosen the Consortium for the manufacturing of a few one-of-a-kind items they are going to present along with their new Alta Sartoria men’s collection.
They will spotlight such collection during an upcoming event, scheduled in Florence on 2nd September 2020, arranged by the fashion brand as a tribute to the Florentine Renaissance.
The Florentine Renaissance
“The Florentine Renaissance is a symbol, to us, of formidable quality, pure creativity and top-notch manual skill – commented Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in a statement released by Cuoio di Toscana –. Likewise, passion for art, handmade manufacturing and Italy have always been a fundamental point in our work. Therefore, engaging artisans in it turned out to be a natural choice. We have been enticed by their expertise, talent and commitment”.
Cuoio di Toscana
“Dolce & Gabbana were aiming to revive the Renaissance allure by taking advantage of excellent and certified-quality materials – remarked at Cuoio di Toscana –. That is why they decided to contact us and appointed us to make some one-of-a-kind items.
We have created something very innovative, which we have experimented together with the two fashion designers”. More specifically, we are talking about one outerwear and two accessories: a bag and shoes.
Thanks to the internationally wide appeal of the events, arranged in Florence by Dolce & Gabbana, “the city will considerably promote its name and will remarkably boost its overall turnover”, stated Antonio Quirici, president of the Consortium. “That is why this initiative lines up with our goals: to advertise and foster the value of such an iconic and sustainable raw material, highly regarded and acknowledged on the markets”.
The Florence events
Florence and Pitti Immagine will host, on Wednesday 2 September and Thursday 3 September 2020, the Alta Sartoria and Alta Moda (Haute Couture) by Dolce & Gabbana events. The items of clothing, designed by the fashion brand, will be presented together with some more articles created by a group of artisans, personally selected by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Visitors may enjoy the opportunity to see such top-quality craftsmanship works, including the ones by Cuoio di Toscana, during an exhibition, held at Palazzo Vecchio (Florence). It will be open until the end of September.
