It starts today, Thursday, June 11, at 5 pm (Hong Kong time). It will be repeated next week, Thursday, June 18. APLF, the Hong Kong exhibition hub (whose next edition has been postponed to 2021), launches a double digital event in collaboration with UNIC – Italian Tanneries. Objective: to promote the leather’s “made in Italy” by overcoming the “physical” barriers currently imposed by the pandemic. Here, then, is the proposal of two online sourcing events summarised in the InTouch formula.
InTouch
Today and next Thursday, InTouch will involve two groups of 4 Italian tanneries, who will be in the spotlight of APLF community. Today the “topic” is “Leather for Shoes and Leather Goods”. Protagonists: Il Ponte, New Overlord Tannery, Bisonte Leather Factory and DS – David System Tannery. On Thursday, June 18, however, the reference scenario becomes “Leather for Shoes, Leather Goods and Upholstery”. The guests will be: Ausonia Tannery, Dani, MB3 Tannery and M2 Tannery.
The formula
This is how InTouch works. Those followers (APLF visitors, buyers, professionals) who will access the Zoom platform (link here) will be able to participate in a shared presentation of the involved tanneries’ products and, as APLF explains, “make requests and ask for quotations. But also, to arrange customised remote meetings”.
