There needed to be a moment to present the collections “physically”, even at a time like this. Practically: give life to an initial return to how commerce was previously done. And so, 12 tanneries in France decided to create a small even, after Première Vision decided to only be online this year (due to the government’s limitation to 5,000 people in a single event), to welcome a selected number of clients. And so, Le Rendez-Vous Parisien, took life 2 days ago, on September 15th, 2020.
Le Rendez-Vous Parisien
The event was organized by the Fédération Française de la Tannerie Mégisserie (FFTM) inside the Grand Salon of luxury hotel Hilton Paris Opèra. 12 French tanneries participated. In order: Mégisserie Alran, Tannerie D’annonay-Hcp, Mégisserie Bodin-Joyeux, Tannerie Remy Carriat, Tannerie Gal, Hiriar, Mégisserie Lauret. And: Tannerie Lepuy-Hcp, Mégisserie De Moliere, Tannerie Pechdo, Mégisserie Raynaud Jeune and Mégisserie Rial 1957.
Next is Milan
Le Rendez-Vous Parisien, as written on FFTM’s portal, allowed the tanneries present to open to the public, for the first time, the collections for Winter 21/22. A preview, for some of them, before going to Milan next week (September 22nd and 23rd, Fieramilano Rho), where they will exhibit their creations at Lineapelle – A New Point of View.
