Another financial operation focused on Italy’s leather segment: English tanning group Crest Leather announced the acquisition of I.C. Industria Conciaria, company located in Arzignano’s district.
Crest Leather buys I.C. Industria Conciaria
“Crest Leather Ltd, leading company in the production of leather for the furniture and home décor segment – reads an official note sent to La Conceria only -, announced the acquisition of I.C. Industria Conciaria S.r.l in Arzignano”. The Veneto-based business is specialized in the production of “wet-blue and wet-white leather, and it also satisfies the highest environmental standards”. The English group explained that this “acquisition shows the constant effort and trust that Crest has in Italy’s tanning segment”. They also point out that “Doriano e Gian Mario Cazzola will continue to manage production for IC”. Crest Leather is already in the region with a production site in Chiampo.
Leather and acquisitions
Crest Leather’s operation is the last of a long serier of acquisitions that have involved Italian tanneries even during this (complex) year. The most recent one was dated July 30th, 2020, when Conceria Gaiera was sold to French brand Chanel. A month before Rino Mastrotto Group (Veneto-based) had finalized the acquisition of Tuscan tannery Nuova Osba.
